This quaint ornament celebrates the cheer and charm of winter with a snow-covered detail from Central Park in Winter (1868–94), a hand-colored lithograph by Currier & Ives (American, 1857–1907) in The Met collection. Until 1907, the illustrious New York printmaking firm lithographed over 4,000 subjects for distribution in the United States and Europe.
